Leader, Educator, and Global Advocate

Irene M Daniels is a distinguished leader and educator with over 20 years of multifaceted experience spanning international mission work, academia, and the financial sector. She currently serves as the Supervisor of Missions for the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church within the Office of Ecumenical and Urban Affairs.

In this capacity, she provides strategic oversight for programs enhancing the social, cultural, and economic well-being of over 25,000 members, while ensuring operational excellence across regional leadership.

For two decades, Supervisor Daniels has spearheaded mission initiatives across the African continent. Her extensive leadership includes tenures in the 17th Episcopal District (Burundi, Rwanda, Zambia, Kenya, and both Congos), the 15th District (South Africa, Namibia, and Angola), and the 14th District (spanning seven West African nations including Liberia, Ghana, and Nigeria).

A dedicated proponent of community empowerment through education, Supervisor Daniels served as an Adjunct Professor at Allen University. There, she leveraged her expertise in Business Management, Marketing, and Human Resources to mentor the next generation of leaders. Her pedagogical approach integrates practical business knowledge with inclusivementorship to prepare students for impactful careers in community development.

Beyond her ecumenical and academic roles, Supervisor Daniels possesses a robust background in finance. Her professional history includes service with Bank of America and a role as an Accounts Receivable and Reconciliation Specialist at the First Commercial and Investment Bank (FCIB) in Liberia, where she managed complex financial records and transactions with meticulous integrity.

As a humanitarian entrepreneur, Supervisor Daniels has co-founded several landmark educational and healthcare institutions in Liberia, including the Daniels-Adams School of Excellence, Frank M. Reid Jr. Christian School, and the Richardson-Adams Medical Center. These initiatives continue to provide critical services to underserved populations, embodying her commitment to global health and literacy.

Supervisor Daniels holds a Master of Science in Management from Southern Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Liberia. In recognition of her significant contributions to global humanitarianism, she was conferred an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
