She is also a retired Social Worker, having experience in the hospice industry as a licensed medical social worker and a career with the State of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.
As an avid community leader, Supervisor Eason takes great pride in lending her gifts and skillset to church and society. She is especially gifted in the areas of administration, hospitality, and music. Supervisor Eason enjoys serving in the mission work. As a young missionary, she established the Doris Roberts Unit of the Henry McNeal Turner Women’s Missionary Society at St Philip AME Church in Savannah, GA. The unit’s mission focused on the needs of disadvantaged children and families within the community. While serving with her husband at Big Bethel AME Church, she led the Women’s Ministry that focused on outreach to women living near the church and fostered opportunities for sisterly bonding and fellowship. She passionately served as the President of the Atlanta North Georgia Conference Minister Spouses, Widows, and Widowers plus PKs Organization (2015-2023). She is a member of the Camellia Rose Chapter of the Links, an organization committed to bonding in friendship and linking their bonds to service.
Supervisor Eason serves with her husband in the 20th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, providing leadership and oversight of the Women’s Missionary Society, Young People’s and Children’s Division, and the Minister’s Spouses Widows and Widowers Organization Plus Pk’s. The 20th Episcopal District encompasses Malawi, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania and a portion of Mozambique.
Among the many joys in life, Supervisor Eason most enjoys the blessings of marriage and motherhood. She has delighted in 39 years of loving marriage to Bishop Gregory V. Eason Sr., and is a mother to the late Carmen JoVonne Eason, Gregory Eason, Jr. and daughter-in-love, Kimberly Delk Eason. In her free time, Supervisor Eason enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, Kimberly, Jr. (aka Junie), taking scenic walks through nature, and exploring various genres of music.
